The policy aims to set funds aside to cater for educational expenses of the policyholder or their dependents. It provides both an investment component and an insurance benefit.

Investment Premium: GHS100 – GHS1,000

Investment Term: 7 – 18 years Ages:

Maturity: At the end of the term

Surrender: Penalties apply when canceling before the end of the term.

Cover: Main life & up to 6 children

Main life (18-59), Children (0-21)

Waiting Period: 6 months and 12 months for subsequent lives. 50% premiums payable for natural death in the period for the deceased

No waiting period for accidental deaths

Insurance Benefits:

 a) Life Cover Cash benefit:

Policy pays cash benefit (like a funeral cover benefit) if the main life or child dies having served the 6 months waiting period and within the policy term. How much Life Cover to be given depends on how much the customer pays as investment premium between GHS100 – GHS1000 as seen below:

b) No Premiums benefit (Death & TPD Waiver of Premium):

Ensures that investments are still contributed in the event the parent (main life) suffers a permanent disability that renders him/her unable to work or suffers a pre-mature death before the end of the term.

Full Encashment: Policy regard to mature in 10 years; however, if a client opts for <10 years; 7, 8 or 9 can still encash fully. Likewise, those who opted for > 10 years; 11, 12… can still encash in the 10th year

 

 

Partial Withdrawal: Allowed to make partial withdrawal in the investment once a year after a minimum of 12 months contribution.

Paid up: Policy can be moved to “investment only” rather than surrendering if client wishes not to invest any longer. Client loses both the life cover and the waiver of premium and no premiums will be deducted till maturity.

Unemployment Bridging: Policy remains active for a period of 12 months to allow policyholder to find a new income source. Not cover for natural death but for a 30% Accidental death during this period.

Cash Bonus: Provides an extra savings component between GHS10 – GHS50. Can withdraw partially after 1 year and full withdrawals after 3 years

 

 

 

Hospitalization: Provides cover for only the main life. Options vary from GHS30, GHS50, GHS70, GHS100 & GHS150.

Paid when main life is hospitalized for 3 days or more

Claim is option selected multiplied by no. of days spent up to 30 days for a calendar year and ceases at age 65.
