The Formative Learning with CBG initiative made its way to Gbi-Kpeme in the Hohoe Municipality this week, as part of CBG’s ongoing commitment to promoting literacy among schoolchildren.
Our Managing Director, Dr. Naomi Wolali Kwetey, together with the Deputy Managing Director, Madam Shiela Azuntaba, visited the Gbi-Kpeme M/A Basic School to donate over 700 locally published books. The donation aims to support the school’s literacy drive and inspire a love for reading among pupils.
Dr. Naomi Kwetey reaffirmed CBG’s dedication to education, noting the joy such community-focused initiatives bring to both staff and management of the Bank.
The Headmistress of the school, Mrs. Gloria Opare, expressed heartfelt appreciation to CBG for the kind gesture. She highlighted the lasting impact such support has on both the students and the wider community.
In a show of support, Dr. Kwetey and Madam Azuntaba also took turns reading with the pupils, sparking joy and curiosity among the young learners.
This donation forms part of CBG’s broader efforts to empower communities through education and demonstrates the Bank’s belief in creating opportunities for future generations.
