Consolidated Bank Ghana LTD. (CBG) has signed an agreement with the Social Investment Fund (SIF) as part of the Ghana Women and Youth Employment for Social Cohesion (GWYESCO) Program to enhance financial access for women and young people in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

This partnership seeks to invest in the entrepreneurial potential of Ghana’s women and youth, strengthen MSMEs and foster economic development. Managing Director of CBG, Dr. Naomi Wolali Kwetey, emphasized the Bank’s commitment to a transparent selection process for beneficiaries with effective credit appraisal and fund disbursement.

She noted that the agreement will not only ease financing but also empower women and youth entrepreneurs, promoting sustainable livelihoods. Lawyer Abass-Adams Nurudeen, CEO of SIF, expressed confidence that the on-lending agreement with CBG would serve as the foundation for a stronger relationship between the two institutions.
