Consolidated Bank Ghana Expands Its Branch Network

In the quest to make significant strides towards extending its reach and providing accessible banking services to Ghanaians, Consolidated Bank Ghana LTD. (CBG), has officially opened a new branch at Winneba to cater for the banking needs of customers in the township and its surrounding communities.

The expansion of CBG’s branch network reflects the Bank’s commitment to financial inclusion and its vision to make banking services easily accessible to all Ghanaians. With the opening of this new branch, CBG aims to facilitate convenient banking and empower individuals and businesses in these communities to embrace banking.

The Managing Director of CBG, Mr. Daniel Wilson Addo, in his address reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment and passion for a differentiated banking experience hinged on innovation and exceptional banking services. He also used the opportunity to reiterate the recent injection of GHS 2.5 billion into the Bank by the Ministry of Finance pledging CBG’s readiness to respond promptly to customers’ requests and ensure growth for the community.

“We have a dedicated team of very experienced people who are ready to listen to your needs. We will listen to you, we will understand, and we will offer solutions that will help the community to flourish”, he said.

Paramount Chief of the Effutu Traditional Area, Neenyi Ghartey VII encouraged the Bank to take interest in the businesses of the community and encouraged more support for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Stephen Jobson Mitchual urged CBG to consider establishing a branch on the University’s campus to mitigate the risk of students moving out of campus to have access to quality banking services.

Present at the Opening were Management members of the Bank including the Deputy Managing Director of Operations, Mr. Thairu Ndungu; Director of People and Transformation, Madam Esi Mmirba Wilson; Director of Operations, Mr. Samuel Chiatey Barketey and Director of Retail & Business Banking, Mr. Emmanuel Nikoi. The Chief and traditional leadership of Winneba, the Vice-Chancellor, and a delegation from the University of Education Winneba, customers, and indigenes of the Winneba community also graced the occasion.

With the opening of the Winneba branch, Consolidated Bank Ghana LTD continues its mission to expand its presence and deliver accessible banking services to communities across the country.

The Winneba Branch of Consolidated Bank Ghana LTD has officially opened for business at its new location opposite the University of Education Winneba (UEW). The relocation offers customers a larger waiting area and an improved branch experience. 

During the opening ceremony, Mr. Daniel Addo, the Managing Director of CBG, reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment and passion for a differentiated banking experience hinged on innovation and exceptional banking services.

He also added that the Bank has received a capital injection of GHS 2.5 billion from the Ministry of Finance and assured customers that Consolidated Bank Ghana LTD is ready to meet their needs and contribute to the growth of the community. The event was attended by top management members, the Chief and community leaders of Winneba, a delegation from the UEW led by the Vice-Chancellor, and members of the media.
