Yaw Asamoah

CHAIRMAN

Yaw Asamoah is a distinguished banking executive with over 28 years of professional experience. He was formerly Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Chase (JPM), the largest bank in the United States and one of the largest banks globally.

Mr. Asamoah has deep experience in capital markets, corporate finance and strategy. He has taken dozens of companies public on the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ. During his tenure at JPM, he structured and executed over 550 financings, raising over $270 billion of capital for companies across various industries all over the world. He retired from JPM in 2019 after 22 years with the bank.

Mr. Asamoah has been very actively involved in philanthropy and public service over the past decade. He has been a long time board member of FOCOS Hospital in Accra. He was also previously Board Chairman of FOCOS USA, the nonprofit foundation which provides resources to support patients and the work of FOCOS Hospital. Mr. Asamoah also serves as the Advisory Board Chair for the Heritage and Cultural Society of Africa (HACSA USA). He served on the board of Ghana’s Investment Advisory Committee (IAC) from 2019 to 2022.

Mr. Asamoah joined the board of Consolidated Bank Ghana in 2021.
