CBG expands to reinforce its commitment to customer service and financial innovation.

Consolidated Bank Ghana LTD (CBG) has reinforced its commitment to fostering financial inclusion by opening a new branch in the Berekum East Municipality. This strategic move is part of CBG’s efforts to expand its customer base and provide convenient banking services to communities across Ghana.

Speaking at the official launch of the branch, the Deputy Managing Director, Operations of CBG, Mr. Thairu Ndungu, reiterated the Bank’s drive to provide superior banking solutions for all stakeholders.

“CBG is committed to providing flexible products for individuals, businesses, children, and students, ranging from investments, loans, savings, advisory services, and insurance,” said Mr. Ndungu adding that CBG has a special interest in the SME sector and has developed products like the Collateral-Free loan, which allows SME customers to access loans up to GHS 500,000.00 without collateral.

Mr. Ndungu pledged more convenience and trust to businesses in the Municipality, saying “We recognize that banking is not just about the numbers but about building relationships and supporting the overall well-being of the community”.

He also advised the residents to capitalize on the Bank’s remittance services and do business with the institution as the Bank’s remittance services processes are simple and stress-free.”

Osabarima Kusi Yeboah II, the Nifahene who represented the Berekum Traditional Council commended the Management of CBG for opening a branch in Berekum. He urged the Bank’s authorities to stick to their professional standards of operation and avoid any circumstances that may lead to the disclosure of any customer information.

The event was graced by dignitaries within the Berekum community, including Osabarima Kusi Yeboah II, the Nifahene of the Berekum Traditional Council, the Most Reverend Mathew Kwasi Gyamfi, the Catholic Bishop of the Sunyani Diocese and President of the Ghana Catholic Bishop Conference,  Monica Oforiwaa Asiedu, the Headmistress of the Methodist Senior High/Technical School, Andrews Kofi Okonegye, the Assistant  Superintendent of Police (ASP), and Berekum District Police Commander, among others.

Officials from CBG include the Director of Finance and Strategy, Mr. Charles Appiah; the Director of Retail and Business Banking, Mr. Emmanuel Nikoi; the General Manager of Distribution, Governance, and Branch Experience, Mr. Edward Antwi; the General Manager of Consumer Banking, Mr. Joseph Opoku Okyere; and the General Manager of Business Banking, Mr. Michael Kwansah.Consolidated Bank Ghana LTD (CBG) is wholly owned by the Government of Ghana and operates as a universal Bank with 114 branches in 13 regions of Ghana.
