DEPUTY MANAGING-DIRECTOR CORPORATE RESOURCES

Nana Ama Poku is the Deputy Managing Director – Corporate Resources, Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG).

Her immediate past role was as Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Banking/Business) of the Ghana Export Import Bank where she was primarily responsible for executing set targets of the Bank’s strategic objectives (2017-2022) which embedded the Government’s industrial transformation and socio economic agenda for Ghana beyond Aid.

A results driven professional with over two decades experience in Commercial and Development Banking with extensive insight in various aspects including Banking Operations, Export and Import trade financing, value chain financing in Agriculture and Agro Processing, and Risk Management.

Nana Ama has a natural knack for problem solving, strategy and execution and change management.

Prior to joining the Ghana EXIM Bank, she was with First Atlantic Bank from 2002 till 2016 where she had across departmental experience with her final role being Head, Financial Institutions.

Nana Ama is a member of the Development Finance Technical Working Group (Ghana) for the operationalization of the Africa Free Trade Continental Area (AFCFTA).

She is the recipient of several awards including the Ghana Women of Excellence Award, African Business Excellence Award and is the Global Chair (Export and Credit) at the Women Economic Forum).

She holds an MA (Marketing Communications) from the University of Westminster Business School – London, United Kingdom and an Executive MBA (Entrepreneurial Management) from the University of Ghana Business School - Legon.

She also holds a BA (Social Sciences) from the University of Science and Technology, Kumasi – Ghana and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (MCIMG).
